Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/20/2016

Number: 9

This was an active monarch day! I saw both males and females. They were flying, resting, nectaring, and some of the females were laying eggs. It was a cloudy day, around 78 degrees F, with a NNW wind of 8mph, and about 80% humidity. It would lightly rain in the middle of the day. I saw monarchs before the rain and afterwards. This is a photo of the first monarch I saw today, a female resting in some tall grass around 11am.
