11/03/2016 - Autumn adds a nice touch!!
At Point Pelee National Park
14°c
Sunny with light wind from NNW @ 13 kmh Gorrrrrrgeous November day!!
At the same time that migrating monarchs are arriving at their Sanctuaries in Mexico, these have yet to journey south out over Lake Erie!!

Between 12:00 & 2 pm saw 31 monarchs at Point Pelee. Id'd 11 males & 8 females. Majority were flitting about & basking in the sun on East Beach at The Tip with one seen on west path just south of Tip parking lot. Did not see any journey out over the Lake.
Did not see any tagged however most were basking so could not see underwings.
All were fresh looking.
Twice saw 2-3 at the same time :)
