At the far end of the Newfound Gap parking lot, I saw one monarch at 11:25 a.m. seeking nectar. It was 57 degrees with little or no wind. Later the same day at the same location, I spotted this monarch (see photo) at 4:05 p.m., 60 degrees, little or no wind, nectaring on a few clover blossoms.
