3 4th & 5th instar caterpillars found on a potted Milkweed plant. Inspection of plants in the garden revealed an additional 5 caterpillars in the 2nd/3rd instar range. It's been a month since our last Monarch butterfly release - I expected we'd seen the last of them until Spring!
