This is the latest date I can recall seeing a monarch. A male stopped by this afternoon to nectar on the zinnias that are remarkably still in flower. We have not had a hard freeze yet, although we have had frost. Today we have sun and temperatures are near 70 with a light southeast breeze. Happy to see this beautiful butterfly, but sadly wondering if it's at all possible it can make it to Mexico.
