Our weather has been mostly warm and sunny this fall, and so our second grade students enjoyed a beautiful fall day while planting our tulip bulbs. After searching for the perfect garden spot, we carefully dug and measured the holes before putting in our "treasures". Then we covered them up with soil and mulch for the winter. We also put down some chicken wire to keep the hungry squirrels from digging up the bulbs. Everyone made predictions for when they will emerge and bloom--but for now we will have to wait and see!
