I have Butterfly weed plants - only about 20 and they found them. there appear to be red colored eggs attached to the seed pods. This is the second batch of see pods to develop and I thought the dots were aphids. Unfortunately I washed some away before realizing what they really were. I planted my Butterfly weed in Spring 2016 from the free seed program. So happy they found my small patch!This seems to be late in the year for them to be in my area.
