At around 10am this morning I saw 3 monarchs in the pasture. They were variously flying, resting, and nectaring. It was sunny with clouds and 78 degrees F. The one I got a photo of was actually the same female I had seen yesterday ~ the one with the missing part of her wing. This morning she was finding nectar in the blooming milkweed plants. What a lovely, valiant monarch!
