As I walked down a path sheltered by trees at the Virginia Living Museum [Monarch Waystation #299], a monarch flew past me about 2.5 ft off the ground. Could not tell if it was tagged. Not much nectar left: a few Rudbeckia, dandelions, Baccharis, goldenrods.
