Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 12/13/2016

Number: 2

We have had very cold weather the last week with a low of 24 degrees - unusual for WA. I couldn't believe the ruby-throated hummers were still here. I was bringing the feeder in at night so it wouldn't freeze. Then we had 2 inches of snow (real unusual) and the birds still came to the feeder. Someone told me that as long as they had a food source, the hummers would stay in WA all year.
