Looks like caterpillar I found eating milkweed in my yard last month has become a butterfly. This adult was found by my kids, emerging from chrysalis, hanging from bottom side of fence, above milkweed, where caterpillar was observed. I'm worried about the butterfly surviving in the cold; it's supposed to get down into the low 30s tonight & tomorrow night. I''m debating bringing it in, but if it can survive, I'd rather leave it out, where its chances of mating are higher than in my house.
