Ten large caterpillars were eating on four of my scraggly milkweed plants. I bought more milkweed and put the caterpillars and milkweed into a cage. I have lots of lizards here so I raise the caterpillars in cages until they hatch then free the butterflies. This is the earliest I've ever had caterpillars.
