I have brought in 10 caterpillars and hope they will come forth as butterflies in the very near future. All ten have gone into the crystalys stage but one has developed a hole in it and has turned dark. I fear it will not produce a butterfly. Most of my milk weed was killed by cold weather the first week in January so I only hope I kept them fed enough. I've gathered potted flowers for them to buzz if and when they emerge as butterflies. I will notify you if and when they emerge as butterflies. This is a real adventure for me.
