Seen 3 p.m. on a long strip (15+ ft x 5 ft approx) of "grass", the result of heating vents from the apartment tower. Everywhere else had 2+ feet of snow. Unusually mild day for Ottawa for January (slightly above 0º C). Healthy looking birds.
