I saw it in my back garden all fat and fluffy. I was surprised and asked it if it wasn't early. It ignored me and jumped down to the ground going about its business. We had just had heavy rain for two days before, and I think the ground was softened.
BTW I saw a whole flock of them late last fall and was surprised that they were still in the area.
