For about 15 minutes I looked out my 2nd floor window to the grassy common area between townhouses. There were 12 or more robins spread out and feeding in the grass. They were walking or bobbed, searching the ground. Line of sight was obstructed by utility boxes and building corners, so the exact number is unknown. Robins flew in and out of view during these observations. Whether has been cloudy for many days at a stretch and this is a brisk day but the sun is warm in a cloudless sky. The only snow we had was Jan 7, almost a month ago, so plenty of ground to search for food.
