This chrysalis is the last of the caterpillars in our garden to pupate. Chrysalis hung for 23 days under the eaves, eclosed today. We have noticed that the strongest, most vigorous caterpillars go farthest, climb highest, and these also seem to become the most vigorous butterflies, very strong flyers with no problems. This one came out at dusk, so couldn't get a picture. Resting til morning. Forecast to stay in the 60's overnight, so should be fine. Couldn't see if male or female.
