Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/18/2017

Number: 1

At dusk, a territorial call, was surprised at first and not sure I had heard correctly but then he called again. It was too dark to see him but the call was unmistakable. I think this is the earliest I have ever heard Robin.

It was a peek and tut call. I was right; it is an alarm call! I hear them make it when a feral cat is around and that is how I have learned it. Sitting in town right now after listening to the Robin songs and listening to a cacophony of Red-winged Blackbirds.
