Observed 10 male, and 6 female red-winged blackbirds at feeders next, to kitchen window in the lilac trees, at 10:23AM, eating sunflower seeds on ground, and from hanging suet cake. Heard their song, previously, at 9:47 AM. Leaf buds are out on lilacs, and (2) chipmunks at the feeders since February 8, 2017. Temperature at present is 59 degrees with SW winds 5-10mph w/gusts to 20mph, and wall-to-wall sunshine. Should reach 60+ degrees by afternoon.
