We were surprised that our emergence date was within a few days of last year. We had a cold, snowy winter last year, but this year it has been warmer with practically no snow at all. It is interesting to note that the tulips we planted last year emerged a week earlier. We are guessing it is because they were organic, but unfortunately this years batch is not. As of 2/23/2017,18 of the 60 planted have emerged.More plant tips have been nibbled on by squirrels this year. Perhaps because last year they were covered with snow for awhile.
