Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 03/06/2017

Number: 1

In a past winter a few Robins hung around my feeder during the winter.I googled to find out if this was normal. Winter 2016-2017 they were gone. Walking out my front door to see a fat robin sitting in a tree made me smile and then he burst into song....loud unmistakable "I'm claiming this spot as mine!"

This fella is the only one here right now…I’m waiting to see the large numbers flock in to the area….that was the event that set off my interest in Robins. My backyard was covered one spring…and as I watched a Hawk flew down and grabbed fat Robin and flew away…the rest of the Robins just kept eating???? So I think this fella is just tuning up…I have not heard the early morning or evening singing yet…
