Maple Syrup (FIRST Sap Run)

Date: 03/04/2017

Number: 1

At approximately 10:30 A. M. and once through the entrance of Lincoln Memorial Garden and while heading on the trail to their Nature Center, buckets attached to Sugar Maple trees were observed. Flowing sap is being collected on more than a dozen trees before the budding takes place. My first time to observe this event. Clear sky. Temperature in the upper 30's.
