Ron Tozer, retired park naturalist at Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, reports that the first red-winged blackbird of the year - a male - was spotted in the Spruce Bog Boardwalk parking lot. This bird was attracted to seed left in the parking lot. This bird was photographed and the report confirmed.
