Spotted 5 robins in our backyard at about 5:10 PM. They were poking about in the grass, probably trying to get a good meal before the big snowstorm rolls in tonight (current projections here are for 8”-12”). The sky was overcast, winds were calm, and the temperature was 47 degrees Fahrenheit. By 5:30 PM there were 8 robins present. (I assume that’s enough to count as a wave.)

The photo shows 3 of the original 5. The grid distortion is because I was shooting through a window screen. (I’m stuck inside having just had hip replacement surgery.) The close-up in the lower-left corner is of the robin farthest to the right in the wide shot after it had moved forward a few feet.
