This is the second year that Mifflin Park 1st and 4th grade citizen scientist buddies have participated in the Tulip Test Garden project. Last fall we were frequently asked why we couldn't use our bulbs from the previous year. We always answered that it was a requirement to control variables, but now we can see why. Our 2015-16 tulip beds are in the same area, only a few yards from this year's garden, but have already grown much taller with twice as many leaves per bulb. The difference is amazing!
