At first I thought something was wrong with the particular bird I saw standing in the boulevard as I drove by. Its wings were dropped with the tips pointing down. The bird stood very still. It wasn't until I was passing that I realized, oh, it's a robin! My first one of the year! Yeah, spring is here. I suspect the robin was 'listening' for worms and warming itself in the sun. What a joyful day!
