I collected 4 to rear indoors, but in a 4" square there were more eggs and she was actively dumping on several small oenotheroides in a 15' area. About 3" tall and hidden down in yellow and white daisies.
73 degrees, overcast vast nectar plant sources spread over the entire countryside after good winter rains and recent drizzles. Lots of species of ants out, and they seem unfazed by 2 deep freezes 3rd wk in Jan. Other butterflies out also. Low last night 65.
