sighted today at 5:15 pm cst. with iphone pic of male black chinned hummingbird; incidentally, my records show that today, 3/16/2017 was same day last year that a male black chinned hummer showed up. I generally have from 2-3 male black chinned and a couple of females who reside at this location all summer so I suspect this is one of the returnees. I am still waiting for the ruby throat migration which comes through here as well. I have placed some hand picked cotton from a field outside corpus christi and placed it on the feeder poles for use in nest building hopefully.
