This evening we saw a huge flock of robins along the edge of a farm field, just outside of town. It’s difficult to estimate, perhaps 40, maybe more, all of them on the ground appearing to forage along the grassy verge of a ploughed farm field, beside the road. If it makes any difference there were also flocks of starlings doing the same.
