Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/19/2017

Number: 1

I think there might be some (robins) out and about the area that are flocking, but for the most part, they have separated into pairs, working the edges of roads etc. for food and appearing to be in nesting/protective mode.

Early in the morning, they are out chirping just as they do all spring and early summer. The ones I saw earlier this year were moving in very large groups, unlike the behavior now. The ground this year was never really frozen and often there were worms and bugs available throughout winter. I know the groups stripped the large holly trees in my neighbors yard throughout the "winter", which was mostly mild.
