Monarch butterflies roosting/gathering on trees at Moody Gardens, Galveston, TX.

While going on an afternoon walk last Saturday around their grounds to see their butterfly garden, I saw 6 Monarchs that would flit briefly from this tree and then go back and land and sit there. We didn't see any other Monarchs on our 1 hour walk - just those 6 that seemed to be "roosting" on that one tree. I commented to my family how odd it was to see that. I don't know if the type of tree makes any difference.
