This may not make a difference to those who discount the Florida monarch population, but since Chip posted an expected uptick in the monarch population this year if the corn correlation holds, I thought I would post that my Waystation 1777 patch in central Florida is being over run by larva of late. Through the winter there have been larva, but sporadic, a dozen or so here and there as the generations go. I actually have not noticed many females, so I assume they are passing through moving on.
It has been a long time, several years, since the milkweed was stripped the way it has been this past week.
