Note: For many other lakes (and some ponds) in southern MN, Pete Boulay from the MN State Climatology Office and MN DNR is recording 3 dates - ice-out, refreeze, and second ice-out. That way researchers will know what happened in 2017 from erratic weather probably the result of climate change.
