This female spent most of Sunday with us. She alternated between laying eggs and nectaring. She was quite fond of our blooming Texas Lantana. She spent much time hopping from flower to flower and would then disappear for awhile visiting the native Asperula milkweed around our house.
Very active weekend.....we saw about nine Monarchs over 2 days. Some just heading north at a brisk clip and others either nectaring or laying eggs
It's great to be in spring season.
