Trumpeter Swans.
A dozen beautiful big white swans sitting in a small water filled dip in a field. All other larger streams, ponds etc are still frozen over.
They did not look bedraggled at all but rather quite big strong and well. Weather here is just reaching 10c in the day and 0c ( freezing) at night. They usually stop by Carstairs for a day or two of rest on their way to northern Canada.
