First Monarch Butterfly in my pasture! It was drifting around, and feeding on, a large patch of purple Prairie Verbena. At first I though it was one of the recently-seen Eastern Swallowtail butterflies. I noticed that this butterfly's wings were still, instead of constantly flitting, when resting on a flower. It was then that I saw it's bold orange and black colors. Hoping to get a photo of one in coming days.
