Ice-Out

Date: 03/29/2017

Number: 1

Hello..........just a note to let you know the ice "went out" today on Deer Lake (with the exception of the "corner"). I surveyed the whole lake around 3 pm. In addition, there are 3 pair of wood ducks, mallards, geese, mergansers, buffle heads and the muskrats. The mallards have set up housekeeping about 400' to the right from my home. The robins came in 2 days ago. Niki took his first unofficial swim when he broke through the ice just off shore yesterday. Needless to say,he blamed me. The dock and pontoon are poised and ready to be wet once more. They came out on the 17th of November, so it's been one of the shortest "in-out" so far.
