Staff member at the Virginia Living Museum reports that the first Journey North tulips planted in the museum's Children's Learning Garden by Bo Baker and his fall "Gifts for Wildlife" class [6-8 year old students] bloomed today. The Children’s Learning Garden began with Journey North tulips planted in Fall 1998. Our average date of bloom from the first 18 years of data is 3/29, so this year the tulips bloomed 1 day later than average. The weather did a lot of swinging between warm and cold this year.
