Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/03/2017

Number: 1

Appears that all of Robins have gone 2 neighbor's 4 nesting as they did last year. Have 1 male that comes daily 4 bath, preening & his snack's of homemade peanut butter suet on tray feeder. Think this may b same male we had last yr. Had a "gusher" of a Storm 2 nights ago. I was afraid it may have drown some females (songbirds) on their nests & baby birds. We had a pair of Carolina Wrens that had paired up visiting our yard daily in search of insects among the leaves & in our patio canvas cover. After the severe storm that never let up the male was singing loudly on over the yard & neighbor's yard trying 2 find his mate. I don't think he was ever successful. It is always disappointing 2 lose the 1st brood of any songbirds. This seems 2 happen almost every Spring. I cannot tell if our Mr. Robin ever found a mate. Maybe she is nearby on the nest. Hope we c some young Robins soon as last yr. the parents brought the youngster's 2 our yard 2 feed them our suet & teach them about bathing.
