Robin (Nesting Behavior)

Date: 04/04/2017

Number: 1

When we opened the blinds in the Living Room on the way out the door to school Tuesday morning 4/4/2017, we saw a Robin carrying nesting material to the fake palm tree we have in the corner of our front porch!! We had a pair build there last year and raised 4 babies!! My mom said they might come back each year! I really hope it is the same pair, or maybe their babies. We were cleaning out the mulch around our Iris and Stella D'Ora lillies so I left some of the long thin dead leaves in a pile on the sidewalk. When I left to get my son from school this afternoon, we saw this most perfect beautiful nest!! It seems more of a perfect circle and a bit larger than last year. It is also setting much more stable in the branches than the last one. We are so excited to watch the momma lay her eggs and them raise another family of sweet babies!!
