Thought I saw one fly across yard appr. 5-7 days ago but w not report. Between 6:30-7:30pm thought I saw 1-2 moving around in trees & vines but 2 many variables for positive ID such as problems tracking tiny movements,tiny leaves moving due 2 breeze, hearing no wing sound, other songbirds & squirrels moving in exact same location. While getting up thought I caught a glimpse of one leaving ground flying away from me but still not sure as losing light. Moved 2 different location 2 watch songbird activity. Heard wing sound of Black-chinned hummer w I moved my hand. Still no positive visual. Realized he w coming 2 (possible) favorite feeder. Moved feeder 4 better observation. 1 min. later heard wing-sound of B.C. & watched him feed every min. from 7:40-7:50pm(CST) B4 roosting. Insects r plentiful since rain. This sighting is 4 days earlier than last yr.
