Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 04/06/2017

Number: 2

A male and female monarch were chasing each other around the garden today. I never saw them mate. They stayed around for about an hour and then flew off to a grove of trees next to our house. The weather was sunny, in the sixties with extremely strong winds of about 10-20mph with gusts up to about 30mph. I saw the female light on some milkweed leaves, but don't know if she was able to lay any eggs as it was so windy.
