Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/07/2017

Number: 1

A late season snow storm arrived in the overnight hours here with heavy wet snow about 3 to 4 inches.

NW winds and about 30 degrees f. Robins are in the Cedars and other evergreen tree areas
going about their daily feeding flights and getting food in the sheltered ground of those areas.

Snow stops by 9.00 am and forecast later today looks milder and drier. Snow cover should be short lived.

Update to my earlier report. (above)

at 11.30 local time temperature has risen and snow stopped, winds still brisk but Robins are now plentiful on the snow covered grass areas where snow is again thawing.

They are feeding on presumably earthworms. A couple of hours seems to make a big difference
