Just saw one and it looked bright and new. It was warm (70) day and 2 days prior to that very cold with rain. My milkweed is not up yet and usually emerges around the first of May but I am expecting it to emerge earlier as we have had unusually warm weather. I also saw several tiger swallowtails flying the same day although that is all I have seen.
