Sighted 55 adult butterflies while horseback riding at the lake between 1130a-300p

I was horseback riding along trail by the lake on Army Corps of Engineer property. The observation was over a distance of about 10 miles. Mixed Grasslands, hardwoods, masses of Bluebonnets
(And other wldflowers), and a whole lot of milkweed in bloom.
They were not grouped together... the most I saw together was 3, and they were flying... of course me riding by on horseback may have disturbed them

I was surprised by so many... usually I just see a few.

It's hard to take a photo from horseback. I'll try and attach a photo giving you an idea of the wildflower bloom here.
