As my mother and I were strolling around Monarch Meadow looking for signs of milkweed, to our delight we saw a weathered, but healthy female working hard to deposit her eggs on almost every single emerging Swamp milkweed plant in the Meadow. We're so happy because last year we didn't see a single Monarch until September. Just hope the milkweed grows fast enough to feed all these newcomers. :)
