A cold front and steady north winds are slowing the migration. Though I haven't been able to be outside much today, I have seen a monarch flying in the yard, one landing on the grass, and one nectaring on lilac blossoms. See photo. Weather forecast is for a dip down to 35 degrees tonite. Will they be Ok? I hope the shelter belt of lilacs provides sufficient for them.
