At 2:30pm I drove to my post office about 3 miles away. Before leaving I watched a faded-winged male monarch filling up with nectar from a yellow thistle near our driveway.

Then to my delight I saw 3 monarchs flying on my short journey to the post office on the slow back road through woodlands and flower-filled pasturelands.

Later at around 3:45pm, still sunny, 75 degrees F, winds N 6mph, and humidity 21%, I discovered a "wonder" tree on the edge a small wooded area in our pasture. There was a male monarch nectaring from its clusters, but also bees, wasps, other butterflies, lady bugs, love bugs, and more ... and it gave off a heavenly fragrance. It is a tree about 20 ft tall and was simply buzzing with all the nectaring activity on its clusters (with the tiniest of flowers). But I do not know what this tree is. This is a photo of the monarch as he nectars from the "wonder" tree -- both wonderful and I wonder what it is?
