At 11:30am I went down into the pastures to look around. It was sunny, 71 degrees F, winds S 3mph, and 45% humidity. This is a photo of a beautiful female I saw laying eggs. She went around pretty fast, seeking milkweed to lay her eggs on, then when near our woods, soared high into the sky heading north.

Over the course of the rest of the afternoon I saw at least 7 more individual monarchs variously nectaring, egg-laying, males patrolling, and flying.
