I had to make sure to comment on my experience this morning. While putting out more feeders, I was holding a glass feeder upside down to prevent spilling nectar while carrying to hanger. Just before I turned it over, I heard one of the hummers flying up behind me to feed from the other feeder a couple of feet away. This little male Ruby flew right up to land and perch on my finger holding the upside down feeder. He attempted to nectar from a red painted flower on the glass for several seconds. Finally realizing the "flower" was empty, he flew to the other feeder and fed just a foot from me. This little male Ruby had simply no fear of humans.
